17 Palms Kauai is comprised of two Kauai vacation cottages in a garden setting chosen by Conde Nast Traveller Mag. As "one of the 5 perfect places to stay on Kauai" - a private oasis adjacent to Wailua Bay, one of Kauai's most popular beaches (made famous in Elvis' Blue Hawaii). Everything you need during your Kauai vacation is a short walk, located across the street from the beach path and one block from tons of restaurants and shops, rentals, live music, coffee roaster, farmer's market, etc. These are fully equipped, free-standing homes with complete amenities including complete kitchens, laundry, dishwasher, sharp knives!, Wi-Fi, and many other niceties, a true home away from home.
What a beautiful little property. These two "casitas" are privately situated on a beautifully landscaped lot featuring outdoor covered seating area and bar b que. The cottages were incredibly clean and well stocked with everything we required for our stay including well stocked kitchen and beach supplies. We couldn't have asked for a better location with the beach access trail out the back gate and Kapaa a lovely walk along the beach trail. This is one of my favorite stays! Thank you 17 Palms!

Kilauea Military Camp, a Pacific Lodging Recreation Lodging facility is for the Active, Retired Military along with DoD Civilians, Coast Guard, National Guard, Reserves, and Sponsored Guests. Valid Military ID or Department of Defense ID and current Leave and Earnings Statement is required for check-in.
We stayed here because it was cheap and convenient to see all the sites in volcano national Park but really surprised that so many things were broken and outdated and just downright dirty. There was mold all over the shower wall, the furnishings were right out of the 50s. The credit card machine was not working so you had to pay cash for gas so you had to go to the store which was nowhere near the gas pump. Wires showing everywhere in the cabin. The drapery had holes in it. Ugh. Just depressing. The place looks like it’s on its last leg. Never again.

Walked over here for a massage from "the main resort next door" as the base prices were much more favorable to the exorbitant resort spa pricing. Booking was easy; just leave a voice mail and they get back to you very promptly. Had a great open-air deep tissue massage with Eve,she was highly competent massage therapist (not just your boring Swedish 60-min), and the styles expressed effortlessly transitioned from lomi-lomi to deep tissue to targeted stretching. Only note: They mentioned they were behind the "thai food truck" but there are actually two "thai food trucks" within a block of each other which was a bit confusing. Google maps gets you to the "right" thai food truck next to the highschool / oceanside of the baseball field, then just walk up the driveway and look for the massage office sign.

The Hidaway was perfect and very comfortable for 3 nights in March. I booked this 4-5 months ahead of time. Plenty of cross breeze made the place cool w/o AC. Brought groceries and beverages, charcoal and other creature comforts. Grilled up dinners, made coffee in the morning, small kitchen area to prepare small meals. Medium refidgerator keep quite a lot of food and beverages cold. Very comfortable bed and room. Loved the lanai and garden, and the field to the beach cliff and Venus Pools across the road. Quiet little place minus the Hana Highway traffic noise. About 3 miles from downtown Hana. I would stay here again, even try the Lanai Too next time.

The Lotus Garden is a tropical delight in the old town of Hilo. With the budget traveler in mind, we have created a serene oasis providing 2 private guest apartments, and 2 plantation cottages. This is an experience of 'old Hawaii.' Our garden is walled on all sides with old trees and a mix of flowers and ferns, making it a place to relax and enjoy the island's slower pace of life. Stepping outside the gates and onto the street, visitors will find lots of great local restaurants and live music venues. The Hilo Farmers Market is just one block away.
We stayed one night in December and wished we could have stayed longer. We booked the Sugar Shack for the five of us and it was perfect amount of space. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the lodge owner dropped off coffee & milk for us in the morning. Such a nice surprise & so sweet of them. Bonus...this lodge is super close to the Hilo farmer's market and a supermarket if you want to cook your own food. If you want to eat out, make reservations in advance, the restaurant fills up quickly.

Organic family farm with farm stay cottage in rural setting on lush north shore of kauai with easy access to beaches, restaurants and shops.
My husband and I stayed in the Garden Cottage the first week of May and we absolutely loved it. It was a beautiful, private location which was surrounded by beautiful foliage and an easy drive from eating and tourist destinations on the North Shore. Everything was comfortable and peaceful. We woke to the sound of birds and sometimes rain. I highly recommend a stay here for those who are looking to get away from a large resort experience. We hope to be back!

Offering three vacation rental houses in the heart of Volcano Village, at a cool 4000ft elevation, near the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Owners live just across the lane, and are available to offer advise on how to enjoy yourselves in the Volcano area.
Todd and Jillian have provided a lovely 3 bedroom house with comfortable beds and duvets, 1 bedroom with ensuite and another bathroom off the corridor for the other 2 bedrooms, a lovely full kitchen, generous dining table and living room area with gas fireplace, and washer/dryer. The location is convenient to the village shops & restaurants and to the part entrance. We were very comfortable and really enjoyed having time to explore the park. This was our 3rd visit to Volcanoes and each trip has been enjoyable and full of discoveries. Thank you for a very comfortable stay.

Pu'u O Hoku Ranch is a family-owned biodynamic and organic ranch and farm, rustic retreat center, and vacation getaway on the remote and tranquil east end of Molokai, Hawaii. “Pu'u O Hoku” is true to its Hawaiian name— “Hill of Stars”—surrounded by thousands of acres of protected land, immersed in the transcendent beauty of forest, sky and ocean.Pu'u O Hoku offers several options for accommodations—all of them beautiful buildings built in the 1930s in classic Hawaiian ranch style, furnished with Balinese and Hawaiian wood and textiles, and just a two mile drive to the black-sand beaches of Halawa valley. All of the accommodations feature sweeping views of the tropical landscape, ocean and Maui. Independent travelers and families can choose between our one, two, and four bedroom cottages. For retreats or family/class/group reunions, we offer accomodation that can sleep 22 - 34, with a pool and yoga deck.
Puu O Hōkū Ranch was the location for a weekend retreat I attended. From the moment I arrived my expectations were greatly exceeded. Rudy, Kathy and each member of the staff were incredibly generous and welcoming. The accommodations are thoughtfully arranged with comfortable beds, updated bathroom, luxurious linens and beautiful artwork. The lodge, annex and grounds all hold unexpected beauty around every turn. We even had the pleasure of meeting Ryan who gave an unexpectedly inspiring talk about bees and beekeeping. Do not pass up an opportunity to pick up some of the honey at the Ranch store!

Stay at a working Kona Coffee Farm! Enjoy a full cooked breakfast accompanied by fresh fruits from the farm. Try the macadamia nuts right out of the back yard. Snorkel, scuba dive, kayak, or hike at the nearby beaches. Beach equipment, guest kitchen. Free Wi-fi internet access. The Coffee Barn now has an in-room fridge & microwave.
Staying at Pomaika'i Lucky Farm was thoroughly enjoyable experience. The owners were extremely hospitable and it was really nice to spend time in a rural area. However, it's important to note that this may not be for everyone. Number 1: it's a farm first and a B&B second. They have chickens and roosters roaming freely, and so expect there to be lot's of clucking and crowing at odd hours (e.g. 4am). Combined with the screen-only windows means you will likely be woken up throughout the night. Earplugs are recommended! Also, the mosquitoes are numerous so you will want to bring some bug repellant. Number 2: Breakfast is early (7:30-8:30am); suffice to say, you need to be a morning person. But the breakfasts are absolutely delicious so they are a must! Now during breakfast you'll also probably get treated to a large amount of stories, anecdotes, and such from the owner JP. He has a monolog-ing style where you just sit, eat, and listen. If the details above are deal-breakers for you then perhaps reconsider, but you'd be missing out on a genuinely authentic and unique experience. I personally enjoy being close to nature when on vacation and I love learning about the history of the places that I visit, so the points above were more pros than cons for me. I would recommend staying here if you want the place that you stay at to itself become a part of your vacation.
