This beautiful archipelago, where Scottish Gaelic is still spoken, is divided into the Inner and Outer Hebrides and stretches the length of Scotland's west coast. The most visited and largest of the Western Isles is the brooding Isle of Skye, a short ferry ride or bridge away from the mainland. Islay, home to prolific whisky production, is another gem. Highlights of the less visited Outer Isles include stark Lewis and the town of Stornoway, rugged Harris, with sandy beaches and tranquil Barra.

We hired Cameron to show us around for three days in Oct and we were very happy we did so. He picked us up at the ferry and took us to our B&B the first day. The next day he took us for an all-day tour around Isle of Skye and the places he took us left our mouths on the floor. The scenery is amazing there. Another day he drove us all the way from Portree to Edinburgh and dropped us off at our apt rental. Cameron is a lot of fun to have as a driver and he knows the area well. You'll be happy you hired him as were we. Thanks, Cameron!! We miss you already.

I booked Cameron to provide a tour of Isle of Skye for my husband and father-in-law, for my husband's 40th birthday. They had an amazing time with Cameron and said it was a trip of a lifetime! From my end, Cameron was so helpful in planning, responded quickly and pricing was reasonable for services. He also provided me updates and photos once he located the boys, so I knew that everything was going as I had planned.

My husband and I had a wonderful day last week (Oct 2020) exploring the Northern Highlands from Inverness with Craig. Prior to our visit, I communicated with Craig via email to plan our day. I had a few things in mind that I wanted to see, such as the Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns and Dunrobin Castle, but mostly explained that we wanted to get a sense of the history and culture and stop and take in the beautiful landscapes and take photos. Craig delivered all that and more, exceeding our expectations, with his knowledge of the area and his delightful stories. In addition to all of the above, Craig whisked us off to a surprise visit to fascinating Wardlaw Mausoleum to learn more about the Clan Fraser (Outlander fans will understand!), Beauty Priory, Shin Falls to see the salmon leaping (yes, we did get to see actual salmon!). We had another surprise at Dunrobin Castle with a Falconry demonstration, which normally would not be operating this time of year. Many stops along the way to see beautiful vistas, Loch Fleet World Heritage site where we had a good view of the seal colony, and Clootie Well. Craig was the ultimate host, picking us up and dropping us off at our Inverness hotel, driving us in comfort, complete with safety measures of hand sanitizer and masks, and more importantly a picnic hamper full of snacks. He was very responsive and communicative before and after our trip. I highly recommend Craig as your personal tour guide to the delightful Highlands.

Having visited the island a few times before, my partner and myself were taken on a day tour of Lewis by 'Annie' our tour guide, collected from our accommodation and driven around with a full commentary all day including some stops where she escorted us around attractions such as Black-houses and Shielings, she explained not only the history but also detailed information about there uses and how families lived or sheltered in such housing. She was very informative and having been born and lived on the island all her life had immense knowledge of the area and people making it a unique and priceless tour in which you will not match anywhere else on the island. The tour covered not only the regular tourist attractions and some you would not normally find or have heard of but also the history of the island and it's produce such as locally produced food, drink and clothing. This tour is a must for every visitor to the island, dont think you can self guide yourself as you will miss out on so much history and information - this tour really does make your holiday and we fully recommend it.

Enjoyed an hour at Speyside. Knowledgable guide with a reasonable tasting ... wasn't my favorite whiskey but a nice experience.
On this tour you will experience the island life on the biggest island in the inner Hebrides. Leaving Portree, we will travel north to our first stop, The Kilt Rock. This is a famous sea cliff in north east Trotternish. It is said to resemble a kilt, with vertical ballast columns to form the pleats and intruded sills of dolerite forming the pattern. ( short photo stop ) From here, a short drive to Duntulm Castle ruins for a short photo stop. This was the seat of the clan MacDonald in the 17 th century. Heading south-west we will visit a small farm steading to experience the making of sheepskins. After a short visit wi will drive to Dunvegan Castle for a visit and lunch. This was the seat of the chiefs of the clan MacLeod first built in the 13th century and developed over the centuries. After the visit and if time allows us we will take a short detour to Neist Point for a panoramic photo stop before heading back to Portree.
