This review covers multiple interactions I have had with James over the past few years. We had an outstanding hiking tour with our guide David Liu from China Adventure Travel. David and his driver picked us up from our hotel in Beijing and drove us to the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall, a little over 2 hours drive including a bathroom stop. The overall hike was about 4 miles including climbing the stairs/trail to get up to the Great Wall and the walk down. We had a beautiful sunny day in May and David really made the experience fun and comfortable. He speaks English well, and is also a good photographer, as we stopped many times so that he could take our photo during the hike. David provided a lot of very interesting information about the Great Wall and China in general. He is a native of Beijing and has been a tour guide for over 10 years so he knows what he is talking about. We spent about 3 hours total hiking the 4 miles, so it was a very relaxed pace with several stops for photos, rest, water, or snacks along the way. At the end, we went to a local farmer's guest house where they prepared us a great meal with local Beijing food. It was honestly one of the best meals we have had during our 2 week China vacation. The Great Wall of China is something that I have always wanted to see and I was not disappointed. Definitely the highlight of our trip. Thank you to David from China Adventure Travel for making it such a wonderful, memorable experience!

This was our first time to go on a private tour here in China and it was well worth it. Peter was an excellent guide, who took care of everything, and was very knowledgeable and pleasant to be with. Visiting the Great Wall was a highlight for me and my kids loved riding back down in the toboggan. Being able to jump in the van and relax as we were driven from place to place was great and it is highly recommended if you have kids. Our driver, Lee, was very polite and both he and Peter provided a great service. I highly recommend this tour.

Best tour guide ever!! Ronner explained all the details of the city, the Great Wall, and the Summer Palace to us. He was so helpful to consider our requests, and we got to change the original program a little bit. When went to eat authentic Peking Duck, which was probably the best we've ever had in our life. If I ever come back here, I'd definitely book with this company again.

We had a 8 hour layover in Beijing. Everyone told us that we would risk missing our flight if we tried to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, but we decided to give it our best shot. We downloaded the DiDi app, which is like China's Uber, and went on a hour long ride to the base of the Great Wall. Once we got there, we had to get on another shuttle to get to the gate. Then, we got on a ski lift, which felt incredibly unsafe and risky, that took us to the top of the wall. It was early in the morning and there was no one else there. We took our pictures, walked along the wall, and marveled at how beautiful the view and the wall itself was. The wall was covered with millipedes by the way, if you're scared. They've installed a slide that you can go down to get to the bottom of the Wall, but that looked too unsafe to try. We were able to just barely make it back in time to catch our flight. It was so worth it!

My daughter and I had the pleasure of having Qing as our tour guide. We had a great experience. Qing was very knowledgeable and added funny commentary to engage my 9 year old daughter, whom is not interested in History (yet)! We learned a lot about Chinese history and culture, with the added benefit of being allowed to take ample time to take a multitude of pictures. Qing has hosted this tour for many years, so she provided us with tips to take the most flattering shots in this historical venue. I would definitely recommend Qing when taking this tour. We will remember this experience forever.

If you want visit the Great Wall „off the beaten track“ this is your tour. Both sections (Gubeikou and Jinshanling) that we visited have been almost empty (during the week). Our guide Leo was fantastic, not only as a guide to the wall but as well as photographer bringing his own professional camera (he is also offering special visits to forbidden city with a focus on photography). I was so lucky to have got the snow fall just night before of my trip. Drive all the way to THE GREAT WALL was so beautiful. When I reached at WALL it was very cold but after few minutes snow covered walls beauty took over the cold and I re5enjoyed my day.
