The site of the "gunpowder incident" that pretty much was the inciting of the Revolutionary War, this place had an awesome reenactor and guns, guns, guns! :) Definitely a place you should visit while in Williamsburg!

We stayed at the Williamsburg Lodge and loved everything about it! Williamsburg is great fun and I would recommend a multi day pass to explore all of Colonial Williamsburg!! Overall just a great place to visit for all ages!!

One of the highlights of our trip, The glasshouse opens early (8:30 AM) and it is fascinating to watch the glass makers in period costumes make reproductions of historical objects for sale in the attached Gift Shop. We found the articles quite reasonably priced for what they were.

This tour was ever so enlightening and in-depth. The tour guide was a reenactor, and she was very much knowledgeable of the things she told us about. Was a wonderful way to spend some time!

Our kids are ages 7,9,12, and 13. We went to the capitol building where we were going to watch the “Resolved, an American Experiment” show at 12:30pm. Thankfully we visited Colonial Williamsburg during the non-busy season, and we got there about 20 minutes early. There was a line to wait in for this showing. They only take a certain amount of people, so I was glad we got their early. The show was very entertaining. A good number of audience members are involved in this play. Some of the kids couldn’t always follow the proceedings, but they were all able to grab bits and pieces of information. It was one of our favorite things we did in Colonial Williamsburg.
