This temple is a very relaxing place to pray and it's very mesmerising. I would definitely visit again. The food they serve (Langar) which is served in the Langar Hall, is delicious!! Thoroughly recommend.

Lions of the Great War, is a statue that really brings home to people and exemplifies some of bravest people that fought for our country, when we meet a Sikh we should always remember the debt we owe them.

Coventry Cathedral

Celebrated as the UK's favourite 20th century building, Coventry Cathedral is known all over the world as a beautiful and unique venue. Designed by architect Sir Basil Spence following the bombing of the city in 1940 it was opened in 1962, and contains some of the finest examples of 1950's and 60's art and architecture in the country.

We visited this in June 2019 and it was FREE to visit. It was my third visit to this wonderful Cathedral and this time I took my friend along to view it. It has amazing windows. One is floor to ceiling glass and the other one is floor to ceiling engraving. I have never seen anything so wonderful. The remainder of the Cathedral is also just as fantastic. It has access for people with prams, pushchairs and wheelchairs. The volunteers/staff are really helpful and it is really worth talking with them to get lots of details about the Cathedral - opposite is the bombed old Cathedral and this is a must to view also. Coventry did well to build a new Cathedral beside the old bombed Cathedral and seeing them side by side gives one lots to think about. The new one is absolutely fantastic.

Jewellery Quarter

The Jewellery Quarter is one of the oldest districts in Birmingham. Around a 15minute walk from the city centre and well connected with trains, trams and buses. The area has a reputation of high quality, bespoke Jewellery but is home to countless independent restaurants, bars and cafes. The Quarter is home to over 200 listed buildings including the Grade I* St Paul’s Church which sits on top of the last Georgian Square in Birmingham. We have three amazing museums, a handful of galleries and all sorts of interesting and unique attractions. We have an annual festival in July that celebrates everything Jewellery Quarter, this is something to highlight in your calendars. Whether it is shopping, sightseeing or enjoying a drink with friends, the Jewellery Quarter is the place to be. This page is managed by the Jewellery Quarter Business Improvement District.

We visited a few jewellers in the Quarter before visiting Classic Diamonds and the difference in service was notable. They sat us down (this didn’t happen anywhere else) and they listened to what we were looking for in an engagement ring. They spent lots of time with us whilst we decided on the perfect option, without any pressure. The ring was then resized in the time it took for us to go and grab a bite to eat. It was such a great experience that we didn’t consider going anywhere else when it came to buying our wedding rings. We cannot recommend Classic Diamonds enough. They go above and beyond, providing a first class service!

Definitely a family favourite of ours for many generations! There’s no better place to go for walks in the area , Himley is honestly fantastic. I’ve grown up walking around Himley , yet they still never fail to surprise us. You always manage to find a new and exciting walking path , every time you go! The lake is amazing for boating , fishing .. you name it! I learnt how to ride a bike on the long concrete path , it’s fantastic for anyone with roller skates , scooters , bicycles! It’s amazing for your pups too , especially if you go on an evening walk! The house is absolutely stunning , inside and out. The food served is also delicious , and the waiters are very kind , returning my sister’s £20 note to her , when she dropped it and didn’t realise. Honestly , Himley is just great , if you have the opportunity to visit , go! We are so beyond lucky to have it on our doorstep! Also , Make sure to check it out on bonfire night , the fireworks are outstanding! We love you , Himley❤️
