We visited here on Remembrance Sunday and it was very emotional to witness the pipe players and short service of remembrance at this fine memorial in this strange year when social distancing must be obeyed and crowds could not gather. The monument is right in the heart of the town in a small garden with trees and a very peaceful atmosphere.

We went to Fortingall village to see the old yew. It's in the church courtyard, nice and quite place, near the Fortingall hotel and cafe. The tree is impressive, huge trunk and still alive and healthy. Impressive how old can be a tree. Nice tiles to form a path from the church to the tree. Free entrance, lovely village to visit.

Open on the Sunday, always well staffed with polite host. Very knowledgable. The art ranges from sculpture , pictures . Great large colorful pieces with individual artists well represented.

We had visited the castle on a previous trip but had not noticed this hidden gem. Lots of seating outside, both in the sun and under cover. Strict guidelines for social distancing in force here and the staff members were so friendly. Lots of things to buy, we decided on two pain au chocolats which were huge and delicious and coffees too. There was also some gorgeous looking bread and rolls for sale and different types of flour too.

Came here for an afternoon stroll. Good path, river beside it and fairly sheltered from the rain due to the trees. There is also the Soldiers Leap to view just up from it.

Out for a walk with my Grand Daughter and camera . The trail through woodland and moor is 3 kilometres with a steady gradient to begin with the majority of the path is on fairly level ground with 32 poems and sculptures spread around the walk . There are some really good landscape views as well .It is well laid out and thought provoking in a good way . there is plenty of wildlife to see on the way round .Ideal for a jaunt with children or a dog but you must keep the dog on a lead . Not wheelchair friendly .
