10 Points of Interest & Landmarks in Menorca That You Shouldn't Miss

September 6, 2021 Almeta Stockton

As the first place in Spain to see the sunrise, Minorca is like the country’s ambassador to the morning. Beaches here are beautiful and, surprisingly, relatively empty. The jewel-colored water is a magnet for waterskiers, windsurfers and sailors. Playa De Binigaus beach is perfect for families, while Cala Mitjana is an idyllic spot for romance. Head to the town of Alaoir to nibble on some fresh local cheese or turn back time in the charming fishing village of Fornells.

Wonderful shopping area with beautiful arches and walk ways. We love visting this area to stroll along looking in the shops or stopping for a drink in one of the many bars and restaurants in the area. Great during the day but it comes alive at night , a must for any tourist.

Cala Trebaluger

Cala Trebaluger is an idyllic, relaxing beach that was absolutely worth the hot walk from Cala Mitjana! It is much less crowded than many other Calas on Menorca and yet is a beauty to the eyes and refreshment to the soul. I will definitely revisit!

Most beautiful lighthouse! We drove out in early March on a very windy day. Drove within 100 yards of the lighthouse. Easy walk maybe 5 minutes. The lighthouse was not opened, not sure if it ever is open? Well worth the drive from Mahon to see this strikingly beautiful structure.

Playa de Cavalleria

Reviewed By Prango83 - Milan, Italy

Visited twice, the first time with south wind, crystal clear water with beautiful colors, lots of fish near the rocks if you like snorkeling. 5-10 minutes walk from the parking. There is no natural shade except for a few hours early in the morning. I came back with a light north wind, found dirty water (plastic, oil) as often happens in Menorca with unfavorable wind. Real shame.
