A great place to take a break when travelling along the Mae Hong Son Loop. The real market town has an incredibly real morning market with even a "halal" section catering to the muslim minority community which has been a part of this area for centuries. There's also an amazing night food market held thrice weekly along the main street which is simply an asian foodie's heaven. A must visit for this area....

For the price of a donation you can enter this local farm and walk through the massive split caused by an earthquake. It's very interesting to see, and fun to walk through. We saw some pretty interesting lizards along the way. After the walk the owners kindly invite you to sit and enjoy some of their homegrown products, such as roselle juice and jam, banana and papaya, tamarind, delicious banana chips and tiger peanuts, all of which you can also buy from them. It was a very nice experience

This is a really lovely walkway that passes the country side with great views. Well worth a visit as not much else to do around here.

We have a quick trip to Ban Rak Thai village from Mae Hong Son. You should begin at 2p.m in MHS, then arrived at 3:30p.m. Then have a walk around Lee Wine resort, have dinner at the Lee Wine restaurant and wait for pattern at 6p.m. Be carefull when riding motorbike.

Location: Ban Jabo village / Ban Cha Bo Hill Noodle in Mae Hong Son, Northern Thailand. Located between Pai and Mae Hong Son city center. It is about 1 hr 20 min (55km) drive from Pai vía route 1095. There are few noodle houses /cafes along the road. We were there on 5 Jan 2020, Sunday afternoon in one of the noodle house. Having fun in the bamboo platform noodle house. And, we stopped by again on 7 Jan 2020, Tuesday early morning purposely for the view of the Sea of Clouds. We waited there start from around 5.50am for the Sunrise. It is really a great place to view the Sea of Clouds. Don’t miss it for your trip to Pai. Most of the shop close on Tuesday except a noodle house/cafe. Go there early, order your noodle & drinks, get a nice spot & wait for the beautiful view. You won’t regret to get up so early.

Anyone traveling around Thailand soon is overwhelmed by the boredom of the omnipresent cookie-cutter presence of garishly covered modern wats and their decidedly non-spiritual atmosphere. This nineteenth century Burmese exemplar and its lovely grounds has plenty of history, gracious lines and unusual architectural styles. The animal-themed topiary is amusing and the place serene, soothing and aesthetic. Not a bad place to hang out for a rest in the middle of a warm day.
