Walked past this on my way back from the cable car to my cruise ship in Koblenz on Monday. This is an amazing spot to stop and see where the Moselle flows into the Rhine and it also has an impressive statue of Kaiser Wilhelm II. You can walk up to various levels inside the monument and would probably have the most impressive views of German Corner or Deutsches Ecke without doing the cable car ride. The emblems of all the regions of Germany are also impressive to look at. This area of Koblenz is free to look at.

The palace is situated on the banks of the river and offers beautiful views over the river. I only enjoyed the view from the garden but I can imagine that they are even more beautiful from the higher floors of the palace. I am not sure if the public can get to the higher floors though It was badly damaged by bombing in 1944, but was rebuilt in 1951 and its facade was restored according to the original 18th century designs. The garden in itself is enough reason to go there. Beautifully laid out and neatly kept. Absolutely worthwhile to see
