This temple is located at a distance of around 45 - 50 KMS from Kanyakumari. The temple complex is very large and has many rare sculpture. Adhikesava perumal is the name of the main Deity here. The temple was built in Dravidian style architecture.. The presiding deity is - Adhikesava perumal (reclining posture ) Ambal - Goddess Maragathavalli Nachiar. A shivalingam is also seen inside the main sannithi near Lord Vishnu. Now kumbhabishekam works are going on and we can see Poojas done to the Balalayam perumal. Yet, you can have Darshan of the moolavar from a distance..

The sunset around this time of the year usually happens around 6 15 pm. It would be good to be present here atleast 1 hour before the sunset. That ways you get to sit on the rocks, have a view of the beach waves, read a book, click photos or simply chat !
