If there is one spot to get the best photos of Dotonbori , this is it! This was our 2nd time visiting Dotonbori/Shinsaibashi and the views from the Ebisu Bridge still amazed us. Strategically located in between Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi over the Dotonbori canal, it acts like a big courtyard between these attractions with the most noticeable billboards (such as the Glico man) and entry ways. Especially amazing at night when all the lights are lighted up from the billboards, the river walk, the shops etc. The sights and the sounds and the energy were just at another level unmatched elsewhere.

Very beautiful temple for photo shot. Please come here during night because the view is more beautiful. it is a small open air temple. The location also perfect, inside Dotomburi district.

Kuromon market is a series of streets and alleys filled with vendors for anything you can think of - fruit, vegetables, pickles, eggs, chicken, wagyu beef and of course, seafood. We went here early in the morning to avoid the crowds and it was a pleasant experience. Everything is kept clean and the vendors are accustomed to tourists. The food on sale are relatively cheap compared to other places and the sushi and sashimi are fresh and delicious. We had that for breakfast. We were also able to pick up some souvenirs and small things to bring home to our family in one of the shops. Kuromon is a must visit when in Osaka.

Covered on the outside with a vertical garden showcasing indigenous Osakan plants, the inside of the Osaka Organic Building is even wilder, with fabric painted with forest scenes transformed into armchairs and other indoor/outdoor juxtapositions.

Harkening back to the quieter, more intimate Osaka of the 19th century, small food shops and historic souvenir purveyors lie under paper lanterns on each side of the narrow, stone-paved lane.
Wander around the alleys in this area- you'll feel like you've walked into the past and you'll find some gems. Along the covered walkway there are alleys leading off. The lead into small pockets of old Japan with shrines, temples and quaint little restaurants
