One of the last unspoiled Mien Hill Tribe villages where you can see and learn about the Mien culture, visit/swim in the waterfall and tour the village & surrounding countryside in a buggy (included). This is a fun day out for all the family, the ladies will enjoy the culture, the gents; the buggies & kids; the waterfall. Pickup/drop-off from your hotel, full details on our website.

There were 4 stations to walk but the routes we did were station 101, 102 and 103. The station 104 is on the other side but we needed to leave town the same day so we didn’t visit. The track is so easy even for non-fitness person like me. You can see cloud all over the surrounded mountains and once the sun came up, it’s sooooooo stunning! We decided to see sunrise at station 102 and kept walking to station 103 after sunrise. You will keep seeing very good view all the way up to the station 103. If you already visited Phu Chi Fa, spend another night to visit Doi Pha Tang. Much less tourists, easy to walk and super beautiful views! We rented a car from Chiang Rai and drove up to the visit Phu Chi Fah, Phu Chi Doen, Phu Chi Dao and also Doi Pha Tang. Make sure you are good with driving in different lanes and mountains road and sharp curves.

The original must go destination in Chiang Rai. The small restaurant offers good cheap northern Lanna food. The museum about the Princess Mother and the Mahidol family is always inspiring but its exactly the same as 10 years ago so needs an upgrade. I enjoyed my visit to the Doi Tung Villa as we took time to listen to the audio guide and really look around. The local market on the way to the car park offers lots of local products, fruits, vegetables from the local hill tribe villagers. One big recommendation from me is to drive down from Doi Tung to Mae Sai past the Arboretum on route 1149, going through Pha Hee village. The route is one of the most beautiful on the Thai-Myanmar border, driving past a Burmese border outpost & seeing Myanmar's mountains of Shan State.

The White Temple looks amazing the detail on the Temple buildings is incredible and there is a lot of modern themes in the paintings and sculptures in the complex the ablution building is an art piece on its own it’s painted gold as a contrast to the white. The White Temple is definitely one of a kind and if you have the chance to get there you’ll be rewarded with something that you have never seen before

Had a guided tour. Trip up the mountain was something in itself. Really enjoyed the fact that this was a small Wat with more worshipers than tourists. Very relaxing looking around. Receive a gift and a blessing from a monk.

One of the better historic sites in the Golden Triangle area. The grounds are well kept and the temple is beautiful. A must see if in the area.

4 km south, downstream of chiang saen city, the temple complex is three temples plus support buildings; there is a street level temple, classic thai temple style, then another templ e midway up the hill, can walk or drive, then at the hilltop is a pagoda burmese style temple; good views at the top ; nive view of the mekong river, upstream; this is the best temple complex in the area and is Not over commercialized; i would eat somewhere else tho; likely chiang saen city
