I have known this area many years, since childhood and seen lots of changes. It has now become a really tourist trap with little huts of craft work on display and for sale, food, the fish market is the best and service and the Crab and Winkle cafe excellent. New development of shops and food hall being built and it goes on with attraction. Really worth a visit day and night.

Deal pier is very clean, and looks really good. It feels great walking along the pier. You get a real sense of calm and serenity, when walking towards the beach and the sea front.

If you're walking or cycling the Viking Trail anywhere between Reculver and Broadstairs, the Harbour Arms mini-pub makes an ideal stop off point for a beer or a coffee. Wonderful sea views across the harbour to the main sands and Dreamland.

An interesting Pier with different things to do on it the life and soul of the Town. From fun rides, good food, special ales, best Ice Cream in Town, local small shops to a great entertainment venue, and must not forget the crabbing it is the best ! Crabbing equipment and bait available on the Pier from Beach for Fun. Come and browse the shopping arcade of beach huts before grabbing a bite to eat.
great place to visit lots to do for the kids lots of sights to see clean beaches bins emptied all the time lots of motor bikes I'm the summer shop around for ice cream as some places are expensive sometimes have bans on craft fairs in the summer there's a lot to do with the kids there's punch and Judy grabbing some fair ground rides

Wow, what an amazing venue. I am Folkestone born and bred and it surprises me every time I go how brilliantly this place has been transformed from it's make over; from the Greek Bus restaurant to the Lighthouse Champagne bar, from live music to spot-on-views from the array of eateries and drinking pop ups it's a perfect afternoon for all ages! Kudos to the big outdoor screen for live sports and outdoor cinema. Well done Folkestone!!

The Town Pier is the oldest 'Iron' Pier in the country, I believe. It shares the space with The Riva Bar which sadly has recently closed. The Riva Bar and restaurant is in a fabulous location and I would love to see it revived and open once again, it is one of the best locations in Gravesend.
