Went on my second Photo Walk with Marco in Ljubljana — previous one was in Venice. This time my wife accompanied me and used her Smartphone to take photos. Marco had offered to lend her a Fuji camera but she declined. Great experience again. Marco took us to Metelkova which was eye opening. There were a number of people loitering around but we felt very safe in Marco’s care. He took us up to the Roof Top bar in the Nibotičnik Sky Scraper and got some great shots of the landscape plus interesting ones of the spiral staircase — doubt if I would have noticed it if we simply took the lift up and were on our own. He also recommended some local restaurants — we tried 4 during our 5 nights in Ljubljana! All good! Marco was good company and was very helpful in taking us to places which were very photogenic. May have to incorporate a trip to Hungary — Marco is a great photographer and good company. He will ensure you take a number of photographs you will be proud of.

I contacted Katja after seeing her trips and asked if there was a full day trip that we could do together that took me to all of the sights I wanted to see. Katja arranged an itinerary that took me everywhere I wanted to photograph and took the hassle out of navigating the roads and national parks. The weather wasn’t the greatest, in fact it had rained every day for a month when I had arrived. But Katja and her lovely Australian Shepherd whose name I can pronounce but absolutely cannot spell picked me up early in the morning and off we went. It was in fact raining but Katja amended the itinerary to get the best out of the weather that we had and we managed to get the most out of the day. She took me through some wonderful waterfalls, soca river, national parks etc etc. she was very accommodating and took more time if I needed it but essentially let me set the pace. For me it was one of the best things I did in the month I spent in the Balkans and I really enjoyed my time with Katja because she was so friendly and had many wonderful stories. She had a broad knowledge base for photography and for those who might just want a day trip of the area to see a lot of the sights she is a wonderful person to show you around. I also would like to mention that with the weather being so bad I wanted to see Vintar Gorge and I couldn’t get there after it rained. Katja the next day actually picked me up and dropped me off in both directions just to help me out - that’s how wonderfully kind she is. I am so thankful for such a great day in wonderful company soaking up excellent vie ws

My friends and I had a fascinating photography tour of Ljubljana with Marco. Marco was extremely friendly and helpful with advice on how to capture different styles of photographs with our various equipment. His knowledge of the area helped us discover all the best bits of the city with the best vantage point and light. He even provided well-researched advice on other areas in Slovenia and beyond. I arrived with a few notes on places of interest and we reached them all easily with additional facts and tips thrown in. Meeting Marco and having his guidance was the highlight of our trip! I look forward to meeting up with Marco again to tour another destination.
