I have been to African countries quite often but Uganda comes to the top of my favorite safari countries. The wildlife is not in plenty but at least it has a slice of every animal and some are endemic to this region only like the Mountain gorillas Ohhhh I liked the silver back in the jungles. Tree climbing lions, buffalo, chimps giraffes, zebras, hippos and beautiful birds and so one are all wrapped in one country. We had a warm welcome right from the airport by our guide and met so many friendly and happy people during our tour. Although some roads were not in good condition we never complained it was part of adventure. All reservation were handled well and everything as per the itinerary was covered and on time. Thanks Bird's Nest Safaris for making our safari experience a memorable one, we will surely recommend you to our friends.

The trip was perfectly organised, much information given with passion for their country, the people and the wildlife. The accomodation was better than we expected. Alex and Medie where friendly, correct, responsible, knowledge about the country and wildlife, heart on the right place. I think Gorilla walking safari's has a surplus in comparance with other organisations.

We did a 15 day Discover Uganda private tour with Bosco from Enchanted Uganda Safari in first half of January 2021 and we could not have been happier with our choice. Bosco is a very knowledgable guide and very calm and very flexible. Due to Covid19 we had most of the lodges for ourselves, and had access to the closest gorilla families as permits were far from sold out as they usually would be in January. Bosco also helped us with an extra shoebill excursion and to get a covid19 test done in due time for our flight out (results took less than 36 hrs). All lodges we stayed at were great places with amazing food served every single day.

Entebbe in the native language of Luganda means a “seat”. The name was in reference to a local chief called Mugula of the Mamba clan who had his seat in the area close to the Lake Victoria where he used to sit and adjudicate cases among his clan members. In 1893 when Uganda became a British Protectorate, Sir Gerald Portal made Port Alice the administrative center of the colony as Entebbe was known by then. In 1903 when the Uganda Railway reached Kisumu, Entebbe became the commercial center and changed the name to Entebbe. Ferries carrying goods from Kisumu used to dock in Entebbe. In 1929, an airfield was established at Entebbe to serve domestic and regional flights. In 1950, it was elevated to an International Airport. In 1955 international scheduled flights began operating from Entebbe by the B.O.A.C( British Overseas Airways Corporation) which later became British Airways.
