I started playing percussions over 15 years ago as a pass time hobby and quickly found drums to be part of my daily life. I perform at shows and clubs but also handles workshops and circles for the amateur percussionists

We bring the oldest ceramics village of Bat Trang to you right in the heart of Hanoi's old quarter, at 62 Hang Hom, Hang gai, Hoan Kiem. Here you will find a wide selection of authentic Bat Trang ceramics for sale. You can even join a pottery class conducted by an experienced teacher, in a small group setting. For $35, you can learn the basics of pottery and you can take home your very own creation.
Most beautiful ceramics we found in shanti and excellent service - packed all our things so that we could carry it in the suitcase! Would highly recommend it!

Went today to learn the basics of using a pottery wheel as I've never had a chance to try. The team sat with my husband and I and showed us step by step how to create a bowl. They were super helpful and at the end the owner said to contact him if we needed some info on setting up our own home pottery area which we had discussed. I had a wonderful day, it took us about 2 hours and at the end we had some bowls which we could take home. Although they do usually need a few days for drying and glazing which the team here offered but unfortunately we as we were leaving the day after we went here we had to take our wet pieces for hopefully firing at home if it makes it there in one piece.

Hope Center is an N.G.O established in 1999, which provides free vocational traning courses and creates job for disabled peope, disadvantaged children and ethnic minority people. Come to our center for a visit, or half a day to practice making pottery, explore Raku firing technique and see how our talented workers make uniform and handmade recycled products. For those interested in Raku pottery, we also organise a workshop for you to experience Raku firing, which lasts for 4 hours or if you do not have much time, you can join making pottery with with the electric wheel in 1 hour. Moreover, handicraft workshop is highly recommended for those who are keen on making recycled and environmentally friendly products. Your experiences will support our workers a lot with pride since they can earn income by themselves and gradually change their lives. Come us at 20 Nhat Le Street, Hue city.
We got to make our own baskets out of bamboo and recycled noodlewrapping. The deafmute people and the englishspeaking guide were very sweet and patient while we weaved the baskets. We even got to finish them (or mostly having the deafmute professionals finish them for us, as it took a lot of practice) and take them home for a very cheap additional price. We also learned to make rings out of colored wires, which we also got to bring home. We spend four hours in at the Hope Center, but you should definetly visit, even if you haven’t got that much time. An amazing day of sustainable tourism!

Our first handcrafted notebooks were sewn in 2016 while traveling to other Asian countries to note down our experience. With a natural-born love for art & craft, we decided to go with bookbinding to preserve this tradition and spread the love for this handmade art. Our Hanoi home-based studio organizes weekly bookbinding workshops and provide nicely 99% handcrafted notebooks, mostly one-of-a-kind.
