High in the cool hills, this colonial gem of cobblestone streets and picturesque churches inspires artists with its color, character and light. Baroque, neoclassical and neogothic mix in the city's buildings, notably at the pink stone 18th-century church on the Plaza Principal. Founded in 1542, the city is a mix of Hispanic and Mesoamerican influences.

Hi, I'm Nicole. I am from Los Angeles, but I have been living in San Miguel de Allende since 2016. I LOVE helping people connect to their own creativity by teaching simple skills that can be replicated at home. We use only the best supplies-Sterling Silver and real gem stones for jewelry, Turkish Towels for dyeing, and large, sturdy totes with leather straps for block printing.

I am Ezshwan and I have been a working artist for many years, specializing in the encaustic technique for 20 years. I am classically trained and can move from figurative to abstract easily and can guide you to create your own vision. I specialize in working with each student personally to inspire their individuality. The techniques are clearly explained and demonstrated. . You will be working in my personal studio with all materials and tools at out finger tips. All materials are provided.
We were able to try various techniques of encaustic painting in a two day workshop and came home with a few completed pieces. I became more confident with the use of a torch. Ezshawn has tons of supplies to try out and play with.
The home studio of Mexican artist Oliver Martinez. To enter you will have to ring the bell and the artist will open the door to your world where you will be greeted by a series of murals. You will visit the gallery and the different workshops of drawing, painting and sculpture. You will know directly the creative processes, you can acquire pieces, take a class or if you want to stay in a room.
This year I'm proud to be doing an artist residency in San Miguel de Allende & invite you to join us for a fun figure drawing session in an unforgettable beautiful mansion! -I was fortunate to study at a rigorous atelier in Florence, Italy. -There I was taught the same legendary curriculum that Picasso, Jean-Leon Gèrômeme, Van Gogh and Titian, Raphael, & others had also experienced. -I've had several solo shows and groups shows in Panama, Berlin, Mexico, Florence, Dubai, & India. Let's draw!
