This is one of the best horseback trail riding facility in southern Ontario.
My hubby surprised me with an intimate horse back riding experience just for us 2, on our 10th year wedding anniversary. It was very romantic with the fall like colours around us while horse back riding. An unforgettable experience indeed. Staff were very helpful and accommodating.

A friendly and scenic 18-hole par 68 golf course - one of the older venues in Durham Region. Has undergone a decade of upgrades and just opened a brand-new clubhouse. Delicious food, a great atmosphere and friendly service in the new Scrambles Restaurant. Course features mature trees and rolling terrain, with tight fairways and fast greens.

Wooden Sticks offers the ultimate golfing experience not currently found anywhere in the Ontario golf market. Open to the public, our premiere feature is truly great golf. Wooden Sticks has brought together some of the most recognizable golf landscapes from the PGA and sculpted them into the spectacular scenery of the local area to produce 18 remarkable holes. Play golf holes inspired by Augusta, St. Andrews, Pine Valley, Carnoustie, TPC Sawgrass, and Oakmont. Stay & Play packages include on-site accommodations, golf, and meals. A beautiful setting for a wedding, meeting or any type of special event!
We aren't golfers but we are eaters and like our weekend breakfast out somewhere. The 4 of us always meet in a few familiar places but this time we decided since it was Labor Day monday to try the restaurant here. We made reservations but they probably weren't needed. The menu is online and looked very good plus a few other options not normally seen at the usual greasy spoons. Prices were in my opinion cheaper than in many places and in this case you have a beautiful location, nice drive and a lovely spacious dining room full of windows which looks onto the course. Staff were charming, quick and attentive. Food was really good. Breakfast should be a given that it's something quick and easy to produce and get on the table correctly, but quite often it's not. This time was bang on. I'm a sucker for Eggs Benedict, but having said that don't tell me it's "home made Hollendaise sauce" when it's not. I can taste powdered imitations a mile away. There is NO comparison to the real thing made with butter, eggs and lemon. (You may have seen my other reviews where I've asked about the sauce and been told the instant stuff is just as good.....NOT! This was the best Benedict with smoked salmon I've ever had, including the King Edward Hotel. Came with a few capers a bit of red onion, the salmon was not cold bringing down the heat in the eggs but was the correct temperature and the eggs were also cooked perfectly, a bit runny just as I had asked. Potatoes and a bit of fruit also came with it. Price was cheaper than Cora's or other places where they put a premium on Benedicts. The 3 friends had other choices and all were tasty, good portions and cooked well and nicely presented. Even their rye bread was delicious, big slices, not the smaller little oval type. Coffee and drinks were offered constantly and the servers never forgot us, nor did they rush us to leave. We will definitely go back to try lunch or dinner before the season ends. I would think at that point they may discontinue having the restaurant open other than for special occaisions, but that's just my guess. It is certainly worth the drive to Uxbridge to visit Wooden Sticks for a meal. It's a lovely spot even if you aren't a golfer but enjoy a nice meal out in a unique location.

Mill Run Golf Club is a 45- hole full-service golf facility with a difference - all the amenities of a private club available to the public. Nestled into the rolling hills that surround Uxbridge Ontario, our 2 courses provide both challenging and interesting golf, as well as great scenery.
I live in the Uxbridge area, so play this course often-----------27 championship holes, with many elevation changes, as well as an engaging executive layout with a par of 59. The three 9s of the championship course give 18-hole challenging layouts of either par 71 or 72. The scenery here is terrific-----a beautiful experience on the Oak Ridges Moraine. The staff in the pro shop and food / beverage service area is very friendly and welcoming. Membership offerings including equity ownership are very reasonably priced----------one of the best golf values (for full or weekday memberships) in the GTA !
At Curry Equestrian Centre you'll find a warm and welcoming home for your horse, and a great group of boarders and staff who share your love of equestrian sports and social activities. Our boarders come from a wide range of equestrian backgrounds; from dressage, hunter jumper, western pleasure and natural horsemanship, to novices and those with a lifetime of experience.
