First, I must say the location and building are unique and special. The bike store and attached Bistro are on the 'Petit train du nord' cycle path in the restored train station ... quite the 'gem' of a place. Over the last 5 years, we have sought services from this business for winter fat bike and summer eMTB rentals. Every time the service team was courteous, knowledgeable, consultative and bilingual. Shout out to Phil who took us through the recent purchase of 2 Trek e-MTBs. We called and shared photos over a few weeks to conclude on the requirements and price. We live in Ottawa, so Phil was sure to share all the information needed for us to be sure we would be satisfied after our 2 hour drive. Upon arrival, Phil was there to present the bikes, allow us to do a trial run, then work with us to equip them to our full satisfaction. Of the many bike shops, we would highly recommend this one!

This 124-mile trail goes from Mont-Laurier down to Saint-Jerome.
I’ve ridden this path many times. Always a great time. You can ride through the laurentian hills in the summer and cross country ski in the winter.

Best place for the price! We’ve coming to this area to ski for more than seven years. This is the first time skiing Gabriel and I think this place is the best out of all the Sommets with some caveats. Things we liked: - variety of runs! Lots of types that offer a good mix of distance, challenge, steepness. I would grade the blues more like hard greens and some blacks and hard blues. But great variety including moguls, forest runs, jumps - the lifts all meet at the top. This makes it easy to meet and find each other and gives you the most access to the entire mountain side. - the main lodge is located half way off the hill. It’s nice to start right away down with a short run and is less crowded. - the price! Can’t beat the price for the quality you get. Compared to all the other Sommet hills this offers the best quality for the price. Things we thought were “meh”: - it’s a little old. The lodge and the lifts are showing its age. - parking is across the main road. So you gotta watch for traffic when you want to get to the lodge from the parking. - runs are short. But not much shorter than the other Sommet hills. If all the runs are open at Morin Heights or Olympia, then Gabriel can seem very small. But if there are not much snow then Gabriel may offer much better value. We will definitely come back next year!

Late summer the fairways were green and well-maintained, the greens were greener and manicured, the cart paths went through beautiful forest, and the sky was a blue that made it easy to follow the flight path of the ball. I appreciated being able to see where my ball went without help. Prices are very good. There is a slightly less-formal dress code than some of the other courses, and the pace of play is senior-friendly. The layout (slope of greens and fairways, location of tee-boxes) provides challenging rounds for both beginning and experienced golfers. This course is a joy to play over and over.
