Whoosh Explore Canoe Club run canoeing and kayaking sessions and offer paddle equipment rental on the River Stort in Hertfordshire and Essex. We are a friendly club with our own fleet of canoes kayaks for you to try out. Our specialist boats are great for learning to paddle with our 'Go Paddling' taster activities . Join our Saturday morning paddling on local river. We have all the equipment to get a group of friends together for an introductory lesson where we can help you develop your paddling. Our team of coaches work with you to ensure that you have a relaxing and enjoyable paddle on the river.

We are a registered charity and operate three large canal boats from a beautifully landscaped boatyard on the Grand Union Canal just to the south of Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. Our mission is to promote well-being by providing affordable canal boat trips particularly for the disadvantaged. As well as day trips all year round, we provide very special holidays for teenagers with learning difficulties or other disadvantages. We operate without any paid employees. As volunteers, what makes us tick is the satisfaction of being able to share our passion for the waterways and canal boating with people normally excluded from this pastime

We also offer group visits ( 8 +) for anything from hen and birthday parties to visits for different interest groups e.g. WI. We also welcome group visits from those with limited mobility and learning difficulties. Note we are not an open farm all activities are pre-booked. The only time in the year when you can turn up is the first week of December when we have a Christmas shop.
