The Chippewa Nature Center is a wonderful resource for people in the area and a fun attraction for visiting nature lovers. The Center includes acres of natural land to explore on your own, but they also host events (check their website!) if that's more your style. If you live nearby, I highly recommend their programs and summer camps for children. Your kids will have a blast and learn a lot about the natural world and Chippewa culture. If you're planning a visit, check out Maple Syrup Day (usually in February or March), where you can help craft maple syrup and enjoy the fruits of your labor with a delicious pancake lunch!

This rail trail is well maintained. The trail is paved and smooth. There is a side trail that goes to several eateries in Saginaw. There was plenty of parking when we were there. Distance round trip with extension was around 24 miles.

The aerial park is a combination of ladders, bridges, climbing elements and zip lines spread throughout acres of wooded beauty. Climbers proceed from platform to platform through the course elements, then enjoy a short zip to the next set of elements. Our newest course, FrankenZip, is a fan-favorite with 7 long zip lines at heights ranging from 15 – 35 feet off the ground.

The power of nature shaped into one of Michigan’s most beautiful golf courses. The Fortress defends itself with oversized greens and challenging bunkers. Located within walking distance of downtown Frankenmuth, The Fortress encompasses 6,800 yards of formidable play on an 18-hole, par-72 course.
My tee time was 8AM and got to play alone. I played 18 holes in 2 hrs and 10 mins. The condition was better than many private country clubs. The pro shop staffs were very friendly and helpful. If you love golf, you have to play at The Fortress GC!!!

Frankenmuth’s newest attraction: a 16-person pedal-powered bike trolley. It’s a fun way to explore Frankenmuth and get some light exercise and fresh air too! Choose from Pub Crawl or City River Tour. Rent by Fleet or Seat. Great for private tours including parties, weddings and team building too! Sit. Smile. PedAle for Awhile.
