Freedom Field Bluebells is a secure 2 acre private dog walking field. Set in a quiet and secluded location and away from main roads, the field is available to hire for you and your dog on an individual basis. The field is perfect for dogs that are nervous around other dogs or for those that cannot be let off their lead and need a place to run safely and securely, useful for dogs that require recall training or those that are aggressive with other dogs. Or just to walk your dog in peace.

A stunning 18 holes of golf situated against the backdrop of the Sussex Downs. The course offers a good test for the experienced player as well as being popular for the more social golfer. We also run taster lessons and clinics for those looking to start the game of golf. Food is available in the clubhouse for the whole family with great views over looking the golf course. Well worth a visit!!
This golf course is less than 3 miles from where I live but I have never played it before and what a loss, this place really is a gem, quite one of the best courses I have ever played. It was no surprise when I learnt that it had been designed by the same man who designed Augusta National, as it is interesting and challenging at every turn. Two or three times fairways cross each other but always they are clearly marked with instructions about priority play and it in no way detracts from the the enjoyment on the course. In addition to the interesting greens and and sweeping fairways every now and then one is presented with the most magnificent views over Eastbourne and the coast beyond, this really is the most scenic of golf courses. I managed to get an online booking at only £20 a head for the round which is laughably cheap for a golf course of this quality. It is not an easy course and the undulating nature of the holes means that after 18 of them you will know you've played a round of golf but the effort is so rewarding that I would absolutely recommend this course to any golfer at any level who is prepared to try and master it. It was a bonus that everyone we spoke to on arrival, and until we left, was utterly charming and friendly and the pro shop was extremely welcoming and helpful. If you enjoy your golf and have never played this lovely course then I would highly recommend you go out of your way to try and do so.

This is a lovely beach at the far end of Eastbourne. There is a steep path winding from the main road down to the promenade which is a lot easier on the way down! We visited in September and were lucky to have the tide out to reveal sand and some rock pools. Groynes mark out bays and we had one all to ourselves. The water was clean and so was the beach (this may be due to the gentleman we saw litter-picking). A bonus is the toilets, especially with young children. They were basic but clean and very welcome! There is also a cafe at the end of the promenade, although we didn't visit on this occasion, we have previously and would certainly do so again. We spent a wonderful afternoon, jumping waves, crab hunting and eating a picnic surrounded by white cliffs and traditional chalet beach houses. A very British beach!

Although this beach is pebbly, with a bit of sand here and there at low tide, there is so much of it and you can get a space without hoards of people around you. Is kept very clean and tidy.
