The capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Dusseldorf is a regional economic powerhouse straddling the banks of the Rhine River. Altstadt is not just Dusseldorf's lovely old town, but also where the city's nightlife is based and where Altbier, its native dark beer, is plentiful. Dusselforfians take their beer seriously. Königsallee (Ko to the locals), Dusseldorf's famous shopping street, has many high-end stores. And the Museum Kunst Palast has one of the Rhineland's best art collections.

We enjoyed a couple of hours, in the chilly winter sun , walking around this beautifully kept property , admiring the land and the animals. The highlight for all of us was buying a 1 Euro pot of animal food, walking through a large pasture and hand feeding the friendly , gentle deer. There are play areas, toilets shes picnics areas. All clean and tidy. Theres plenty of free parking and admission is also free!

This park is so huge you easily get lost. It is a very nice place to relax and enjoy the nature. Great place for bird lovers.

As every year I planned a visit to the Boot show in Dusseldorf. In the beginning the amount of boats were higher than currently. Probably because of the different times we are living in. For me the exhibition has a few advantages. It is close by for me, with only 100 KM from home. Secondly it is the biggest show so close by and I do not needs hotels. The amount of boats in my interest area is more than big enough. Atmosphere is nice and friendly. Food although not very cheap is of a good quality and you have the possibility to eat outside the halls. Which is very handy and gives other food opportunities. (Backed potato with Curry Wurst, my favourite ) is wildly available. Next year I will be there (again)

The Aufguss sessions were very therapeutic. The lounge areas have relaxed lighting with very cosy furniture and blankets. Cleanliness standards are very high. I have been to Vabali in Berlin in Sept 2015. I found the Dusseldorf branch almost the same. Staff was friendly and talked English. The spa is little far from the city. I took a train from Dusseldorf Central to Erkrath. Then an Uber from Erkrath to Vabali spa cost me around 12 euros. Return Uber from Vabali to Dusseldorf Central cost me 24 Euros.
