I purchashed a mare from Curtis and his crew. She was a little older than we both thought and pregnant! Curtis offered right away to bring me another horse (all the way to Florida) but we liked her so much we kept her. She is everything we asked for and quiet and safe. I would recommend doing business with this stables and they work hard to align the right horse with the right rider. They are also very flexible which made doing business with them a pleasure!

Trackrock Stables is located in a valley of over 250 acres of land in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains, surrounded by mountains on three sides, which is the Chattahoochee National Forest. Typically, we are open daily for guided 1 & 2 hour trail rides starting at 9:15am, with our last ride heading out at 4:00pm. Trackrock Stables offers a horseback riding adventure you will long remember. On your guided trail ride, you will see that our beautiful valley is home to wild turkey, deer and many other types of wildlife and lush, colorful foliage. You will have the opportunity to learn horsemanship from one of our experienced trail guides as you ride through crystal clear mountain streams and canter your horse through peaceful green meadows. Love this hike. The trailhead for this 1.35 mile out-and-back trail starts just off the main highway (Small very limited parking area). Located on the lower elevations of Blood Mountain just below Neels Gap the trail runs beside the Shanty Branch Creek as it meanders & winds through a lush forest with lots of rhododendron and mountain Laurel. If you have any type of mobility issues (such as bad knees) sections of this trail will be extremely challenging. Keep in mind that there are several small creeks to ford as well as rough hewn stone steps and stairs to navigate as you gain elevation along the way. The trail ends at Flatrock Gap (4 way trail junction) at the .65 mile point. You will have a great view of the surrounding mountains and also have the opportunity to step foot on the Appalachian Trail before starting your decent back to the parking lot. Open daily; dog friendly. One of North Georgia’s most popular hikes.

Guiding clients on the best wild streams and rivers that Southern Appalachia has to offer. We guide on the pristine waters of North G.A and Western N.C. We can handle all levels of experience. We know where the fish are and what they are eating. We take you to fishing spots where conditions are ideal. There is nothing quite like the thrill of coaxing a wild trout from a high elevation Appalachian
