We had a great visit with my 6 yo boy as it was really fun to be in the cave with a headlamp and almost in natural environment - ie. trail just little adjusted to visitors. Our guide was experienced any funny and payed special attention to my kid. Same positive experiences we had in the cottage where the tickets were sold. They have excellent tea - we had to stop twice there (ok, with reason to warm up on the hike back ????). Also a lot of souvenirs can be bought there. Highly recommended!

Are you a dog lover? Want to enjoy the beauty of Bratislava City Forests while doing a good deed? Discover a recreational area in the Small Carpathians with me and a dog of your choice from the "Sloboda zvierat" (Liberty of animals) shelter. It has already been five years since my German Shepherd passed away and went to dog heaven. I used to walk him nearly every weekend in local recreational areas. Along the way I often stopped at a small buffet for a special syrup-sweetened tea and a typical Slovak waffle bar or boiled sausage with mustard and bread. Sometimes it was possible to find mushrooms in the forest, too. Nowadays when I want to spend some time in nature, I usually go to a shelter for unwanted dogs and help out by taking one or two of the dogs for a walk. Would you like to share this experience with me and see where Bratislava locals go to jogg, have barbecues, paddle small boats on ponds? Join me! We had a fabulous time on the peak, snow in September and minus 6 degrees, we were oh so lucky though, the peak was covered in cloud until the car reached the summit and then it just cleared, the views are truly spectacular. This was my partners first trip on a cable car, so the unsupported suspension cable car trip for the last 855 metres surprised her! While you are up there do not miss the opportunity to have what is probably the best hot chocolate ever, and this from somebody who does not normally drink sweet drinks. The restaurant at the mid station is also good value for a lunch time meal. Worth every penny
