The best way to do the jungle! 3 Days riding from above Sorata down to the beautiful high jungle where we then take an amazing boat trip through some of Bolivia's most untouched rain forest and national parks to arrive at Rurrenabaque.

This lagoon is red due to the algae bloom. There were hundreds of flamingos when we visited. You can walk alongside the lagoon side. My 3 year old daughter loved this place

The trip was great, but also truned out to be very dangerous. We didn’t go via. the slingshot route which was a mistake, since all hell broke loose when it started to rain. Landslides occured, earth cracked open and trees were washed away. We were soaking wet for several hours and the route we took, was impossible to exit in the end because the road was destoryed by a river (see picture) so we had to go all the way back.. Be careful of street dogs when you enter and leave the trial. They were biting in our jackets which we used for shields, so get the taxi to set you off as close as possible to the trail. Or carry a stick to push the dogs away. Otherwise great nature and I didn’t mind the adventure where the situation got dire for us. Bring plenty of food, water and coca leaves. Altitude is high. Only got a couple of pictures from when it started to rain like hell, but it was way worse than it looks. Have fun on the trip and don’t follow the road as seen on the picture. You can do it, but prepare to go all the way back that you came from. Cheers

Can almost say that this huge collection of rock formations was the highlight of our three days. You can spend hours deciding what any of the hundreds of formations look like. We passed thru two times using different roads from and going back to Uyuni. Our guide insisted one formation was Homer Simpson. Try to find it.

To the mountain leds a serpentine road from Lapaz. Driving is dangerous and you feel you will fall into the gorge every moment. As an adrenaline-loving person, I really liked it. The remaining meters must be climbed to the top. At 5400 meters there is little air. Climb slowly and carefully. But from the top there is a fantastic view.

The property at Cuevas is an ecotourist destination nestled in a valley between majestic sandstone hills. It features three waterfalls which change according to the seasons. There are two cabins which are available for rent and a large open field with space for camping.
Beautiful spot!! A must see. Quick and easy hike on a well kept path. There’s parking across the road. The red sand at the base of the falls gives the water an amber glow and is shallow enough to walk in.
