My partner and I stopped for a quick look and ended up having lunch here. They do delightful pies and sausage rolls made from fresh (not frozen) venison for $7. Margaret Venison Farm also has an extensive selection of cured venison, kangaroo, and emu meats. They offer up to four free samples – I recommend the truffle venison.

Mt Buffalo Olives is a working olive grove renowned for producing award winning extra virgin olive oil and table olives. Karoonda Olive Grove Retreat is a fully self-contained, farm-stay cottage, perfect for a weekend, a mid week escape or a longer visit.
Our host Colin was very friendly and full of information about olive oil - we had a very enjoyable, unhurried and informative conversation. Due to COVID restrictions we could not have a tasting but Colin's descriptions were a good substitute. We bought olive oil and dukkah.

This is a little gem and in the future will be a very big gem. It is a growing concern and a wonderful little gem in the middle of nowhere. The people were really friendly and helpful. The food and drink was wonderful but the service was a little slow but you can see that they will improve on this. I would like to come back in a few years time and see the further development of this place. Highly recommended.

At The Margaret River Chocolate Company we're mad about chocolate! With factories in both the Margaret River and Swan Valley wine regions of Western Australia and a concept store in Perth City, we have been making award-winning chocolate products since 1999. All three sites provide a fascinating insight into the world of chocolate, with free chocolate tastings and interactive displays, with the two factories also providing viewing windows to watch the chocolate products being made. The Margaret River Chocolate Company makes and sells a mouth-watering range of chocolate bars, chocolate coated delights, hand made truffles, novelty chocolates, chocolate sauces and much more. Both chocolate factories are open from 9am-5pm every day of the year except Christmas Day, while trading hours at the Perth City store mirror those of other city-based retailers.
Even Covid 19 doesn’t stop them from allowing you to sample their yummy chocolate buttons. Whilst not served in a huge bowl they are on tap – but at least you can still have a tasting. Milk and Dark chocolate only, no white choc. We went on a Saturday and the place is always busy. We never leave empty handed.
