Rotherham /ˈrɒðrəm, -ðərəm/ ( listen) is a large town in South Yorkshire, England, which together with its conurbation and outlying settlements to the north, south and south-east forms the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, with a recorded population of 257,280 in the 2011 census. Historically in the West Riding of Yorkshire, its central area is on the banks of the River Don below its confluence with the Rother on the traditional road between Sheffield and Doncaster. Rotherham is today the largest town in a contiguous area with Sheffield, informally known as the Sheffield Urban Area and is as such an economic centre for many of Sheffield's suburbs — Sheffield City Centre is 5.6 miles (9.0 km) from Rotherham town centre. Rotherham was well known as a coal mining town as well as a major contributor to Sheffield's steel industry.

Traditional village pub serving home cooked food with real homemade chips. We serve traditional Sunday lunch only on a Sunday which is very popular 12pm till 4.30pm ( if we haven't sold out by then) Weekdays we serve food till 8pm. We have a good range of real ales as well as lagers, ciders and other beers. Recently refurbished (April 2015) Quiz nights Tuesday and Thursday with free food on the bar during the quiz.
Busy but was led to a table straight away. Ordered traditional Beef Roast Sunday Dinner and it was amazing. Huge Yorkshire Puddings, the most succulent thick slices of Beef, with lots of side vegetables. The front of house girls were so polite, friendly and attentive, thank you. Can highly recommend and will be back.

Wath Tap is Rotherham's first independently owned micro pub. Specialising in real ale and cider, we also serve tea and coffee, soft drinks as well as selection of spirits and wine. We welcome well behaved dogs on leads and although we do not serve food customers are welcome to bring their own, we even provide cutlery! We are situated next door to the chip shop on the High Street less than a 5 minute walk from the bus station. Within our selection of 6 hand pulled ales we try to always have 2 dark ales, a bitter or red and 3 pale ales of varying ABV. We aim to support our local economy by regularly stocking beer from local breweries and others in the wider Yorkshire area.
Nice atmosphere good beers and lagers. Friendly little bar. A great little place to meet up with friends.
