The pub is hidden in the depth of the Herefordshire countryside, a warm and welcoming atmosphere is created by the alternative layout of the building accompanying different levels from the bar right through to the restaurant. The Castle Inn presents an extensive beer garden suitable for children and of course our four-legged friends. The Team welcome you to enjoy real ales, ciders and good grub!

Close to the city, a good 5 minutes walk, the brewery tap for Wye Valley offers the full range of their output at competitive prices, plenty of room outside in the large yard to the rear, a great place to meet friends. Current social distance rules being followed, temperature check on arrival.

Craft Pub and Odyssey Brewery tap house in Hereford, serving keg, cask, bottles and cans along with traditional cider, wine, spirits
First pub we visited since the lockdown. Was slightly nervous re safety arrangements but needn’t have worried. Great pub, tables well spaced out and of course the beer was excellent! In my opinion the best real ale house in Hereford.

My girlfriend booked this place as a surprise weekend away and it was absolutely superb. As everyone says... Jamie and his staff are fantastic, the friendliest and most helpful you'll meet! The room we had was reasonably sized for for an old ferry Inn of a few hundred years! With recently decorated bathroom and electric shower. The views looking up and down the river are incredible and we had a very peaceful stay. As others state there's a hand ferry you can take to cross the river, "powered" by one of the bar staff when needed and we took this to go canoeing from a place near the Saracen's Head which is across and down the river. On the subject of the Saracen's Head... This is the place that everyone you talk to (when researching Symonds Yat) recommends... But it's very busy and noisy with a constant stream of cars... If you're looking for a constant buzz, noise and throng of many people then please go to the Saracen's head! And leave the peace and tranquility of the Old Ferrie Inne to the rest of us! We've ready booked to return here later in the year... Highlt recommended
