The Pig Pounder Brewery is named after a beer launched by the Darryl's restaurant chain in 1988. It is a local microbrewery specializing in producing outstanding authentic UK style beers including types like an Extra Special Bitter, an English Dark Mild, and a classic Milk Stout, for local venues. The brewery also features an interactive tasting room, made for connecting with our guests and educating them more about beer.

A brewery and taproom delivering a range of beer styles - from classic to contemporary, we believe there's no right way to beer! In addition to our beers, we serve wine, cider, and a variety of nonalcoholic beverages. We welcome well behaved kids and dogs, as well as outside food.
I really enjoy visiting different breweries. From Charlotte myself, I have already visited pretty much all 35+ breweries in the Charlotte-metro area, so it was nice to venture out and explore the Greensboro brewery scene. As soon as I stepped into Preyer Brewing Company, I immediately felt like I was walking into a very cozy coffee-shop atmosphere. Smaller inside than many breweries, there were couches, cozy tables, nice lighting, board games - it really did feel like I was in a nice coffee shop. The counter top at the bar was one of the longest I've seen! I was only there for 20-30 minutes to kill time before I had to be elsewhere, but if I'm in Greensboro again, I'm definitely going back. I visited 4 breweries while I was there, but this was the most low-key.
