This bar is pretty new in Penang and some kind of hybrid as during the day you only have a coffee shop on the corner. It is called "Holdup". Once you are inside you will see this massive orange fridge which is practically the entrance to the hidden bar run by the same guys in the same building. They serve high end cocktails in a great atmosphere. Very cosy to hang out and nicely decorated.

Manchu Bar Please find and add us on WeChat. WeChat ID: ManchuBarPenang Designed by a famous Singaporean designer. It took 18 months from the drawing board to completion. More than 1 million done in renovation. Documented by National Geographic Channel. First ever Chinese opera performance in bar 150 years old awarded heritage building. From a brothel to a famous hotel to the first ever Chinese Opera bar.
Perfect place to hangout and catch up with friends. Craft cocktails, alcoholic boba milk teas, amazing dim sum in a funky chilled out bar. Live bands that sings both Chinese and English songs will keep you entertained every night. On thé weekends, they have chinese opera and cabaret shows too. One of the best speakeasy bar in town I must say. When old meets new and east meets west. When tradition meets modernization. Couldn’t love this place more.
