Shaanxi (Chinese: 陕西; pinyin: Shǎnxī) is a province of the People's Republic of China. Officially part of the Northwest China region, it lies in central China, bordering the provinces of Shanxi (NE, E), Henan (E), Hubei (SE), Chongqing (S), Sichuan (SW), Gansu (W), Ningxia (NW), and Inner Mongolia (N). It covers an area of over 205,000 km (79,151 sq mi) with about 37 million people. Xi'an – which includes the sites of the former Chinese capitals Fenghao and Chang'an – is the provincial capital. Xianyang, which served as the Qin dynasty capital, is located nearby. We visited here in August 2019. It was a dumpling dinner and a Tang Dynasty dance show. The food was fairly bland, and there were people selling random souvenirs at the table throughout the dinner. The show was mostly dancing with historical details projected on the wall beside the dancers. A very cultural show and good basic insight into some of China's history.

Best tour guide ever!! Ronner explained all the details of the city, the Great Wall, and the Summer Palace to us. He was so helpful to consider our requests, and we got to change the original program a little bit. When went to eat authentic Peking Duck, which was probably the best we've ever had in our life. If I ever come back here, I'd definitely book with this company again.

This private tour with Jasmine was perfect for my husband and I. We had an approximately 5.5 hour tour with Jasmine (including the car ride from the hotel to the terra cotta warrior museum and the ride back to the train station to return to Beijing). Due to our train schedule, the actual amount of time that we had to walk around the museum was about three hours or so. This is not enough time to stop and talk about every single part of the museum, but Jasmine really helped us make the most of it. She is so knowledgeable and her ability to speak both Chinese and English was perfect! My husband and I left feeling extremely satisfied with the tour and she even helped us read our train tickets as they were written only in Chinese. The terra cotta warrior museum is a must-see if you are in Xi'an and I'm so glad that Jasmine was with us to explain the history and answer our questions about this amazing piece of history!

This was a fabulous day trip in Xian. It is well organized and planned and something not to missed while in Xian. The Terracotta Warriors have been well preserved and are well presented with great, close access available to leave a lasting experience.

i watched Shaolin in my childhood. The gate , main gate is the must to visit side. Then is the kungfu show. following with the 'DOJO' the foot steps floor is amazing.

Despite the past negative reviews of this company's tours, we took a chance and book the Terracotta Warriors Day Tour as the price was reasonable; given the fact that this trip to see the Terracotta Warriors would have cost us the same price if not slightly higher if we had to do it ourselves, using taxis. The bonus was that everything was taken care for us, transport to and fro, entrance fees, an extremely nice informative guide by the name of Chelsea (who didnt rush any of us on the tour) and also with a lunch in the package. Would highly recommend taking the tours from this company. Value for money!

Our tour guide Owen brought us to the Muslim Quarter in Xi’an. Of particular interest was the mosque which looks very much like a prayer garden. Owen pointed out many points of interest. He brought us to the prayer hall. We could not enter but doorways are open so that you can peer in. It is one of the oldest mosques in existence. Thanks to Owen we discovered this. Also we visited the Terra-cotta soldiers. This was a great tour. Since this is a popular site, our guide, Owen took us there when others would be leaving for lunch. A great strategy! Owen explained what was happening in each of the 4 pits. Without his excellent explanation it would have been a bunch of figures in a pit. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Owen! The city wall is worth the climb. Beautiful view of the city and an opportunity to get an understanding of life in the past. Our guide, Owen, did a superb job of explaining the wall structure as well as the purpose and the different gates, etc. I highly recommend going to the city wall.

From our arrival at the train station to our departure four days later, Cindy and our driver were punctual, efficient, and extremely accommodating. Cindy provided thorough background and historical information before every site visit. She even included hand drawn visual aids, drawing on her background as a junior high school history teacher! She could answer every question. She sought out our preferences and made changes to the agenda based on our input. Flexibility is her middle name. Meals were local, delicious and an education in themselves. Who knew Daoism recommends chewing your food 36 times? I would love to have a guide like Cindy in every city we visit!
