We booked our city tour with Bite Peru on the recommendation of our tour operator. And to our surprise my wife and I got a personalized tour of the city by the company owner Rueben. He is an engaging and knowledgeable tour guide. We did a walking tour the old city, got a good historical overview of Peru and Lima, insights into Peruvian life and culture and he answered all of our questions. He has an excellent command of English. It felt like our best friend was taking us on a trip through his home town. The highlight was our introduction to Pisco Sour and a couple of delicious Peruvian dishes. We highly recommend Bite Peru.

Enjoy a guided tour of the Magic Water Circuit in Lima, for something a little bit different when compared to the cultural and historical tours of the capital. This impressive park, named as the largest of its kind by the Guinness Book of World Records, Its beautiful water fountains dance to music and lights, providing an astonishing spectacle, which includes a jet spray reaching 262ft high! And eco travellers need not be put off: the park reuses the majority of any water circulated in the fountains, with just a small percentage evaporating into the air. All in all, the Magic Water Circuit makes for a fun day out in Lima – for kids and adults alike! After this experience, head to a renowned restaurant to relish a delicious dinner. While in the restaurant, enjoy a typical dance show with dancers performing some of the most representative dances from different regions of Peru. It is possible to trek into the site, but for most people the train is the option. The trip is about an hour and one half and is wonderful. There is so much to see on the trip that you would like the train tp go slower! For most of the ride, the river will be in clear view, but the mountain views are really spectacular.
