September 1, 2021 Lean Nau

Hollywood beckons to tourists who long for a brush with Tinseltown glamor. Tour movie studios, slip your hands into the famous prints at the TCL Chinese Theatre, or indulge in a celeb sighting at one of LA’s white-hot nightspots. Spot your favorite star while shopping at The Grove, or forget all about the famous eye candy as you take in the iconic artwork at The Getty Center. For a different type of star-gazing, peek through the telescopes at the Griffith Observatory.

Let's Hike Hollywood

Hello travelers and welcome to Los Angeles! Sitting on the eastern edge of the Santa Monica mountains is LA's famous Griffith Park, which boasts over 4,000 acres of land and over 50 miles of trails. With a local friendly, fun and knowledgable guide you will go on an adventure through the park and up to the Hollywood sign or Griffith Observatory. HOLLYWOOD SIGN: The hike begins in Hollywoodland, the neighborhood just under the sign, and travels up to Mt Lee, which is the peak that sits just above the iconic sign. You will see stunning panoramic views of Hollywood, Downtown LA, the San Fernando valley and beyond! GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY: The hike begins in Griffith Park and travels up to Mt Hollywood, which is the peak that sits just above the Observatory. Then we will descend to the famous Griffith Observatory to see where LA stargazers have come since the 1930's. To beat the LA heat, early morning & sunset hikes are offered. You'll hike for approximately 4.5 miles and experience an elevation gain of about 750 feet (228 meters). Transportation from local Hollywood Hostels and hotels is provided. Also water & a light snack are included in the price! Like dogs? Miss your dog back home? Your guide has 3 and will bring one or all of them. Just request that you'd like one there when you book. Let's Hike Hollywood! Hope to see you soon!
