Nevalea Alpacas

Nevalea Alpacas, the largest alpaca farm in New Zealand, is home to over 950 friendly alpacas. We offer visitors ‘The Ultimate Alpaca Experience’ and have a range of different activities to choose from to give visitors an opportunity to get up close to the alpacas, hand feed them and feel just how soft and cuddly the alpacas are. We operate alpaca treks through the summer months, where visitors can walk an alpaca around the farm and see hundreds of alpaca come to greet them in the hills, spectacular views surrounded by alpacas. We also offer a shorter alpaca walk throughout the year as another option. We have baby alpacas all year-round, and for a unique opportunity offer visitors the chance to have a cuddle with a baby alpaca. Great up close and personal experiences and chances for some amazing photos. See our website for all activity options and bookings.

Amazing experience, we've been to a few alpaca farms but this is definitely the best! A walk with 2 young alpacas to visit and feed some of the adult ones (there are so many!), then we got to have a cuddle with a baby, before ending with a picnic in one of the paddocks with a couple of mothers and babies. Totally awesome visit.

Reviewed By lovegrove2016 - Feilding, New Zealand

Right on the outskirts of Feilding is a real treasure, worth spending an hour or two just walking along the boardwalk and enjoying the fabulous native trees and the birdsong. We found it, almost by accident, when we saw the sign on Awahuri Road. Seems that mot of the region was clear-felled by the early settlers, but this gem was left, and there are kahikatea and totara many hundreds of years old. Plenty of seats for us older folks to rest along the way. And good toilets too. This is a "Must Visit" for anyone coming into the Manawatu.
