Arboretum des Grandes Bruyeres is located in the heart of the forest of Orleans, on the edge of the clearing Ingrannes, 25 km east of Orleans and 100 km south of Paris. This is an outstanding example of contemporary arboretum, combining on 12 acres approval of the walk to the discovery of exotic trees from other climates of the world.
Had an outstanding visit just on first day after lock-down. Highly recommended, very low noise, remote forest park and gardens, with excellent ecological practices and diversity. Staff is very friendly and it was a pleasure to listen to the songs of birds and frogs. After visiting a second time on a weekend, it confirms as one of the 5 best garden/parks in France.
