We spent a day at Czech Paradise and were amazed by the beauty of it. Walking among the Rock Town and along the winding paths among the trees was heaven. We even got lost and didn't mind at all, although we had to eventually make an effort to get back on track as we were losing daylight. The area is the most breathtaking natural forestry that I've seen by far and I could have have happily spent far more than the one day exploring here. If you're in the area, definitely take a walk here. Go to Hruba Skala and enter the routes from here and there's a green path on the boards that loops around. You'll be glad you did!

About 2 km long walk on wooden path (slipery in wet weather) drives to torf lake. Panels around the path tell the story of Slavkovsky forest and the importance of wood and torf. Look under your feets. You can recognize tracks of some animals living in the forest. Follow the boards of the path. There is restaurant in Kladska village to enjoy local food. The path is closed in winter.

Fortunately for me, the Bohemian Forest in the mists ;-) (fogs) was just a book concept... When we were visiting Chalupskou Slať, we were accompanied by sunny weather. The easy trail on the flat, also suitable for wheelchair users. Rare plant species, a peat lake. You can leave your bikes in front of the information centre.
