Located on an island in the East China Sea, this mountain is one of the four Buddhist shrines in the country, which features many temples and nunneries.
Beautiful bouddhist temples, beautiful scenery, pleasant strolls along paths on the mountain and along the road boarding the sea. Fresh air and refreshing sights of mountains, islets and sea.Recommend to visit Foding peak, Huiji temple, Fayu temple, Puji temple and Nanhai Guyin. Difficult to avoid the crowd of tourists and the faithful during high seasons.

I have discovered Dongji Island by chance online and i have decided to visit it without having many information about it, and thats how i found my self in Paradise. I ll try to give some infos about how you get there. Dongji Island is a part of Zhoushan Island which you can go to either by bus or plane. You need to get first to Putuo Area, where you can buy boat ticket to Dongji from Shenjiamen station, you need to be there early in the morning to buy tickets if you wanna go the same day, or you can buy at around noon and go the next day. there is many people specially in public holidays. Dongji is formed by three major islands, all of them are worth visiting, but personnallyi recommend Dongfu Island which is the one in the extreme east and then QING BANG DAO Island which i fell in love with , its surprisingly the one with the least visitors, the houses are all old its really quite, the perfect place for someone who want to escape the noise and technology. Prices are relatively high in Dongfu island and you better book your hotel before arrival. I would like to recommend two places to stay in Qing bang dao Island (i have their business card but its written in chinese which im supposed to know ) Anyway here are their phone numbers 05806048881 - the host is a very nice young chinese girl who can speak english the place is very warm as she works with her parents ..it feels like home. And the second one is a very nice hotel with a stunning sea view. Phone number : 15257079002. All places are really safe, but if you are in Qing bang dao you might wanna stay away from the bar in there. Love Dongji
