After shoulder surgery needed to exercise and found this special spot. Use all the fitness stations, such a good reminder. Best part it is shaded, lots of huge old trees, so not too much sun and cooler. Even now with using our masks during covid, most people respect on another! Great find!

While visiting Vero Beach, we had a few days where it was just way too windy to walk on the beach. What a great find this park was. They have a wonderful 1 mile walking trail (in one direction), so 2 miles round trip. Well maintained and well used.

I LOVE to walk this park. It's clean, quiet and safe. Great views and seats to read or meditate and quiet your mind.

McKee Botanical Garden, situated on an 18-acre tropical hammock in Vero Beach, Florida, features a diverse botanical collection, award-winning art exhibitions, special events and educational opportunities for all ages. McKee is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is endorsed by the Nature Conservancy as a project of national significance. I imagine without Covid it would be packed. As it was on a weekday, no crowds and peaceful. It was spectacular the gardens wonderful. Staff was there to answer any questions. They had a lego exhibit lots of fun, and all decorated for Christmas. Great for family , kids, couples or solo.

The boat ride with Captain Phil and the reserve nature guide is the best way to see America’s first Nature Preserve. The native brown pelicans are abundant after being nearly wiped out by DDT. We saw nesting brown pelicans, migrating white pelicans, many types of herons, egrets, cormorants and anhingas.

We had a great visit here with our 3.5yo & 2yo. The trails and boardwalk provide an easy way for little ones to explore the rich mangrove ecosystem. There are many thoughtful hands-on learning opportunities for little ones across the campus. The indoor learning center features large aquariums and a touch pool. There also are blocks, puzzles, interactive murals and storybooks available to help little ones learn. Our 2yo fell in love with the "petable" manatee! Highly recommend this for everyone!
