This Idaho best-kept secret in Twin Falls will truly knock your socks off! The Orton Botanical Garden is amazing in several ways: some of these plants shouldn’t even be growing here because of our climate zone (a Joshua tree?), and it’s truly a pollinator’s paradise of native plants from Idaho to Arizona! Oh—and did I mention that it’s the product of just two people with occasional help from their family: the Ortons? It’s a perfect Friday or Saturday day escape for all the sheltering folks now who want to get out in nature. The gardens are large, so 6’ of space shouldn’t be a problem! Once there, everything has identification signs, and occasionally there are some plants for sale that will do well in your own yards when you get back home. Please feel free to fall in love with our colorful Idaho native plants! The bees will thank you. B. Alexander review

This was an awesome stop on our trip out west! The falls themselves are beautiful from every angle (minus the big crane), but there is also a paved path you can take to not only see the falls from many angles, but you can walk all the way down to see the jump site from Evel Knievel's unsuccessful attempt to rocket over the Snake River! (That was a must do for my husband.) The whole park was fantastic, and it's a nice place to just slow down, take your time, and take it all in. In addition, they have a small little concession stand where we found a cute ornament to commemorate our visit there. We absolutely loved our time here!

Great paved and flat walking trail with beautiful views of the snake River Canyon, the famous bridge, and the historic Evil Knievel jump site. Easily accessible from many locations including the visitor center and the mall.

Auger Falls isn't much of a waterfall during the early spring snow melt. It just looks like a rapid and that's it. I would go later in the spring or early summer.

Doesn't look like much from above, but a VERY cool area with some amazing photo opps. Be sure to climb up the large rock formation in the center area for a super sweet photo with the Perrine Bridge, water, canyon walls, etc. for your background. And be sure to take the short hike under the big waterfall (park near the switchback as you drive down into the canyon).

Rock Creek Park is near my hometown but I hadn't been there for many years. The park is now fixed with amenities for picnics and has a wonderful path along the canyon walls of lava and is great for wondering and exploring.

Stop at shashone falls then head over to this lake for a perfect day! Lots of swimming beach area, diving board. Hike to the right of lake on a gravel road about 2-3 miles and leads to staircase that goes up the canyon wall and to the canyon ridge . This is a perfect lake day .
