A great park for a picnic, or just a laze. Moss Vale has a beautiful main street. It would be great if this area could be used for the Farmers Market!

Carrington Falls

Reviewed By 993anitat - Forster, Australia

Carrington Falls were stunning. An easy walk from the car park there are a few different viewing platforms to take in the massive drop. The view down the gorge below is also brilliant. Just be careful in the car park as the parking spots are very tight and with a few 4x4s there was very little space. There are picnic tables at the falls. We also drive into the camping area to have a look at the Blue Pool. It would be a great swimming hole in summer.

Chinoiserie B & B

Reviewed By BarryJ409 - Sydney, Australia

Delightful little gem hidden away in the Mittagong countryside. Even in autumn with the peonies withered and the maples bereft of leaves, this garden is a delight. Vibrant red dahlias, autumn crocus, lingering pale pink roses and bees buzzing around a small chrysanthemum bush smothered in flowers and the sound of the stream made this a very pleasant visit. A garden of serenity and contentment. Must go back in spring to see all the plants in bloom.

The Corbett Gardens

Reviewed By westy54 - Sydney, Australia

These gardens are located about a two minute walk away from the main street through Bowral and cover the area between Wingecarribee, Merrigang and Bendooley Streets. Entry is free and there is also lots of free parking in the above streets. We visited in late September and were lucky to see masses of different coloured tulips together with a range of annuals e.g. petunias etc together with blossom trees. The gardens were quite beautiful even though several of the garden beds appeared to be under renovation and the water features and canals were devoid of water. The gardens are also very well maintained with lots of paths, grassed areas and large trees that provide shade. There were also plenty of benches where you could sit down, relax and take in the sights. Well worth a visit.

Robertson Nature Reserve

Reviewed By 993anitat - Forster, Australia

We found the Robertson Nature Reserve and really enjoyed the short walk through this ancient remnant of rainforest. When we arrived a Fox was slinking across the trail which was nice to see but not good for the native fauna. There were lots of rainforest species of trees and some wonderful lianas. There were also lots of finches and small birds up in the canopy. This reserve is well worth the visit.

Unfortunately, the track into Glow Worm Glen and the viewing platform at the Glen were severely damaged during the fires of Summer 2019/2020. The track and platform are closed until further notice due to their condition. Please do not attempt to visit the Glen. The Bundanoon Community Association is working with National Parks and Wingecarribee Shire Council to prioritise repairs to the damaged track and platform. There is no timeline for this. If you are disappointed, please contact National Parks and Wildlife and Wingecarribee Shire Council and ask for updates.
