Punta del Este is known as the St. Tropez of Uruguay, thanks to its beautiful beaches, upscale resorts and swanky nightclubs. The Vegas-style Conrad Casino adds to the lively entertainment scene. For a break from surf and sand, saddle up with a local gaucho and ride horseback through the wild plains surrounding the city.

This very nice beach is a favorite for beach-goers as well as for beach fishing. Since it's the Mansa (river) side of the PdE peninsula, it tends to have smaller waves.

If you want to go to Isla de Lobos, there are some tours from Punta del Este. One tour leaves around 11.30 and come back at 14.00. Other tour leaves at 12.00 and come back around 14.00. If the weather is nice, you can swim with sealions around the island. Dont worry, the ones who lies on the island is territorial and if you get so close they bite. However, the ones whom swims are not dangerous. You can see these amazing creatures in the middle of sea. Highly recommended and tour prices are little bit expensive about 50usd.

A renewed park, with new attractions. A huge park with special areas adapted for different ages. A Place with spaces to have lunch or just a meal. Higienic services and green areas to rest and have a nice family stay.

This is the ocean side of the PdE peninsula, and so the waves tend to be bigger more frequently, since it is actually the open ocean (unlike the "mansa" side). It's still a largely undeveloped area.
