Orient Beach State Park

Reviewed By howards50 - Albany, United States

Great state park on the eastern end of the North Fork of LI. It has a nice beach on Gardiner's Bay, a bathhouse with showers and toilets, picnic tables and a play ground. Since there are trees there, you can sit in shadded areas if you are not a big fan of the sun. I went there to kayak in Hallock Bay which is a protected bay with about six miles of shoreline You can also rent kayaks there. if you bring your own kayak, make sure to stop by the rental shop to get the low down on kayaking at the park.

Strong's Water Club & Marina

The "Hidden Gem" of Mattituck. Our park like boating destination located in the heart of wine country on Long Island. A stone's throw away from a quaint town for shopping and dining. Salt water pool with cabana and a man-made beach for your ultimate relaxation. Our on-site restaurant Pace's Dockside with Tiki bar. Witness some of the most amazing sunsets in one of our Adirondack chairs.

This is amazing destination for boaters! You can pull up for the day and hit PACES for a drink and sit poolside. Prices for dockage are pretty reasonable for the East End of Long Island. Weather youre spending a night or a weekend, we think it's fairly reasonable for the area and what youre getting. All of Strongs Staff is friendly and helpful in all aspects. from the dockhands to the office staff, they lived up to their old slogan of " Super Service" We had a great vacation with beautiful sunsets and will be back again!
