We (family with two kids) visited Sri Lanka in June 2018 and had a great time with Dhilip at a bird watching & walking tour. He knows everything about every bird. We had a lucky day spotting some rare sighted birds. He knows exactly where they are and you can watch them very close and clear seeing all their beautiful colours with his binocular. He is a great talented guide and very enjoyable to spend time with him. Will definitely recommend him to all visiting Sri Lanka and are nature lovers. Wish to come back soon to this paradise on earth.

Wanted a park with few crowds and in an area where roads weren’t congested. Wasgamuwa was perfect. Booked a three hour trip for $60 including park fees and enjoyed it all. Only two other cars there all afternoon, beautiful scenery and saw lots! Monitor lizards, mongoose, buffalo , spotted deer, and lots of elephants - really close too!

Minneriya National Park is a national park in North Central Province of Sri Lanka.
We did a jeep safari tour as part of our Sri Lankan tour and we had the most fantastic day we say hundreds of elephants in their natural environment just doing what elephants do, there were several herds and we also saw some babies that were only a week or so old, we also saw water buffalo, and pelicans, deer and lots of other birds. It was a spectacular afternoon made all the better by our guides.

Mihinthale is a wonderful rock temple that any healthy visitor will enjoy climbing. There is so much to see and some places you can see ruins of ancient structures remaining without any restorations. Mihinthale has been a monastry and has been used by the Buddhist monks who used to meditate most of the day and hence engauged in a secular life. Kalu Diya Pokuna is one of the small lakes used by those monks for fulfilling the water needs and it is a beautiful gift to anybody wanting to have a nice relaxing place to relieve the working stress and fatigue of present day life.
