WE joined a group of earlier arrivals and only had the one night with 14 others - just felt the relaxation on arrival and the peace of the river - but actually heard clearly the many bird calls (not a bird watcher) but so enjoyed the tranquility, which is not the norm for our lifestyle. Great library of books of interest, amazing kitchen and great facility with wonderful hosts. We would love to engage with others in this 'tranquil setting. For the outdoor persons, ideal for walking, fishing and nature observations. For the indoors person, great kitchen for meal preparations, books and even a large TV to keep in touch should you wish and center tables to ensure everyone is included in other homestead activities. * For me, the homestead stay was lovely , just bring your own towel - others may like to join the group with their own campers. One hour from Mildura was great. Places for car trips include Lake Wallawalla and Lock 8.

What a beautiful park for children and adults to play in... huge expanses of green lawn... children's play areas, undercover BBQ's , toilets , train and information boards. This beautifully appointed park is next to the Murray River. There is heaps of parking as well and it's easy to locate. I can see why this is so popular with the locals. As if having the Murray next to you wasn't enough... it really does go that little bit extra to have something for everyone.

Camped here for a night in the RV while we were in Mildura. Lovely spot right on the Murray River with sunrise views. Toilets are a wee bit of a walk in the dark if you don't manage to get one of the spaces beside them. Highly recommended free camping area though.

Bit too far to walk in the heat from the Main Street - so drive instead. Lots of parking. The sandy beach is quite long and everyone spread out so you’re not crowded. Water was so refreshing. Lots of shade under the trees. Only downside is the boat ramp nearby so there’s lots of boats/jet ski’s parked between the swimmers. Still it’s a great place for a swim. Beats swimming in the hotel’s chlorinated pool!

The main War Memorial for Mildura. Very well set out, honouring all service personnel from the Boer War to current servicemen and women in operational service.
