Nestled on the Panhala fort , just crossing the Wagh Darwaza is the best maintained gardens in Kolhapur district. At the very entrance you will find miniature replica of Panhala fort. If you are a bird watcher it is the right place. The Entire garden is dotted with information on the birds which can be seen in the Garden. There is a also a small playground for Children. Visit at any time. Time to spent - 1-2 hrs.

the place is relatively lesser known to any tourist visiting the Kolhapur city. Thanks to google maps and Tripadvisor, I came to know abt the place and visited it recently. From the main bus stand (CBD), this garden is around 4.5 kms and auto drivers have no clue abt this place..had to show them the pics..landmarks and then one agreed..autos in Kolhapur are expensive (many have altered meters too) but luckily, the one we hired looked decent and took us to the spot in 65/- Rs (ola auto showed similar price online)...went there early morning and first explored the Traffic park next to the flag garden..in fact the traffic park is a better place for photography and offers better view of the flag ..both the gardens can be covered in about 1 hr ..hardly any crowd in the morning..after visiting the gardens, you can walk towards the water world park nearby or all saints church or take the auto towards the New palace ...you can type Madhav Upadhye Kolhapur on the u you tube and check how we covered so many attractions in 2 days..for any help, please free to ask..this place will be loved by the couples, kids and families...something fro everyone

If you visit Panhala fort and you skip this place then your visit is worthless... A small beautifully developed nature park on the top of Panhala is a real refreshing experience for your mind... Even after this year’s heavy rainfall this garden is so neatly maintained with wide variety of flora n fauna. There is a forest guest house available to tourist as well with proper prior permission from forest department. There is a a very nominal fee of ₹5/- to a tourist. A person who sits their entire day and doing his duty , I really salute to him for his determination of job as many a times there is no tourist for almost 2/3 hours and he sits there on that fort all alone.
