Aravali Biodiversity Park

Reviewed By ellobed - Gurugram (Gurgaon), India

Short distance away from Guru dronacharya metro station Aravali bio diversity park is a refreshing place in the middle of a busy city. There is no entry fee but its open only during the morning and evening. The park is popular among joggers but it also offers some amazing views of gurugram city from the top of its small hills. Wild bushes and trees line the walkway. There's an auditorium for events. I had the pleasure of attending a musical festival in the evening once. Sunsets are absolutely stunning. Aravali biodiversity park is a good place to be if you're looking for a fun outdoor, close to the nature experience. If you are in gurugram you should definitely check it out. Maybe even take up the habit of jogging while you're there and keep a good health!

This little place tucked away one hour from Gurugram is an amazing labour of love by a former Railway Engineer with a love for train modelling. You can see scalable models of railway tracks, construction sites, airports and carnivals complete with cars, trains, aircraft and people. They have taken amazing care in this Covid environment with touch less points like ice cream sticks to push buttons and sanitizer stations everywhere. The staff is really well trained and show you around very well. It has also got outdoor furniture for picnics and you can get your food baskets and mats. The kids will enjoy the swings and slides and the duck pond. There is a coffee machine also for self service.

Good place to take your kids to due to the variety of flora in the park. People also can be seen playing football or cricket here and there, although I doubt if it is allowed.

I have passed many a times through that road.... But this time my friend took a right turn and then unbelievably, we entered into a paradise for birds. Mind blowing place.... Good variety of birds..... Many photographic opportunities.... What else, my son had a lots of fun.. The place is raw, so there will not be any facility for eating or washroom. You have to carry your own food and water. A must go place for bird watchers and photographers.

Damdama Lake

Reviewed By VineetY30

Damdama Lake is located around 25+ km from gurgaon. 1. A large lake where you can enjoy boating, camel rides and other adventure activities. 2. All these activities are orgnaized by the locals or people living in the near by villages that's why all rides, boating and fun activities price are very less actually it worth of single penny. 3. A well maintained resort is located near lake run by Haryana tourism, where you can have snacks, drink and dinner. 4. It's really quite nice place to have some dinner with your family, friends or for couple as well near the natural beaut of earth. 5. It's good plan to have picnic there and spend the whole day to have fun activity and dinner under the sky and over the green grass. 6. It's peaceful and close to the nature place located on such close location of delhi NCR it's big advantage really. 7. If you want to spend more days there then take a package available by the resort located near the lake apart from the one which runs by harayan tourism becoz you will get more activity to do there definately to spend more time. 8. The road is decent, though narrow once entered into the villages route only and if there is a crowd(which is probable on weekends) there might be traffic jam. Suggestion: Go in cooler weather or in rainy season as day time tends to get hot.
