Dynaland snow resort

Dynaland is located in the northern area of Gujo city in the central region of Gifu Prefecture. The resort is on the eastern slopes of Mt Dainichi, is part of the Ryohaku mountain range. The resort has been operating since 1972 though not originally under the name Dynaland. It is lift and course-connected with the Takasu Snow Park resort and a shared lift ticket is available. Together, they are currently known as... 'Dantotsu'. Most of the ski and snowboard resorts in Gujo city are located on the mountains either side of the Tokai Hokuriku Expressway which connects Aichi Prefecture with Toyama Prefecture and the local road Route 156 (Hida Highway) which also runs through the valley. This region is especially popular with people living in or visiting the Kansai regions of western Japan like Nagoya, Gifu, Shiga, Kyoto and Osaka. Train links aren't the most convenient and so this region sees most people arriving by car or bus tours.
