We have made several trips here! The owners are friendly and informative. You are always greeted kindly and they have carrots ready for feeding to the alpacas. They have a great little store with nice items to purchase for gifts. This area is beautiful and worth a trip.

One thousand feet of vertical challenge with 27 slopes and trails to challenge skiers and boarders of all ability levels.
Located several miles from a major population center means short lift lines and uncrowded slopes. I really like the way the mountain is laid out because trees are dividing the runs creating a sense of beauty and isolation when cruising down the mountain. I'll be back.

This was a nicely groomed place with picnic areas and hiking trails. There was a neat rock on the Hemlock Trail where you can actually pound a penny into the rock. We stopped here for a driving break, so we didn't hike the full trail, and now seeing the photos, I wish we would have. A very nice place to stop.

You can go anywhere in the USA and be hard pressed to find a town more like being on the set of the Andy Griffith show. There are Opie's, Aunt Bea's and Goober's here and to me that's a beautiful thing. It's like walking around in a Norman Rockwell painting. The park is beautifully decorated holidays year round, memorials abound, live music often takes place in the park which hosts an impressive outdoor farmers market Fridays in summer, and there's a world class health facility here and a learning hospital that draws people from all over the world to advance knowledge in their field. Church bells chime and play music at various times and the town has a warm and friendly feeling. Nothing fancy or pretentious, just a nice place to be. I highly recommend the Farmers Market Fridays in summer. Get there early for the best selection. Most venders are gone by 3pm.

I drove through much of Loyalsock State Forest on my way to and from Worlds End State Park. The scenery was gorgeous! I hiked into part of it during my hike beginning in Worlds End on the Butternut Trail. Along the way I saw an awesome covered bridge in Forksville. PA 87 was the most scenic and enjoyable portion of the drive. This is a refreshing alternative to busier highways like US 15. I highly recommend traveling through Loyalsock and enjoying the mountains and forests!
