Its a nice small reserve with many mountain animals and reptiles. The staff were so sweet and nice and informative. We and the kids had a good time. The place is small so its not tiring for the kids. Feeding hours are add, before they open and another one at 530 just before they close. They open at 11 AM

Post being under lockdown and with limited options to travel outside the country, I decided to make 2021 about exploring the country I call home (UAE) for over 2 decades esp. with the weather on our side. This weekend went with my family to visit Shees park and Wadi Shees walking trail. Shees park is a nice and cozy park for families with kids to come for a picnic, the park is equipped with clean washrooms and benches for families to sit. We didn't spend too much time at the park as it was already crowded, so went ahead to explore Wadi shees walking trail which takes over an hour one way to complete at a relaxed pace. It was so amazing to walk through the mountains, you can also drive through the trail esp. for families with young kids. The weather was perfect, so we parked our car between the mountains where we took a break and stopped for breakfast. All of us thoroughly enjoyed this experience of being close to nature, almost therapeutic!!

Great place for kids to explore and gain knowledge about various wild animals from the gulf region. Mainly an indoor zoo ...only farm area is open area types. They have a huge variety of reptiles and rodents especially ..only 15 aed for adults... kids enter free.. the have a kids farm, islamic botanical garden and desert wildlife zoo.. all entry at this same price.. they are closed during national holidays is what I've heard. They have a cafeteria inside where you can get to buy tea and snacks and lunch as well. Kids can get to feed the farm animals as well for free.

I visited this place with my family. Ticket price is compared to other Emirates same parks. The number of visitors were very less. There are somany fishes and the place is very calm and clean. I think the parks, museums and other attractions in Sharjah is underrated.

The bird sanctuary and Wildlife Centre at Wasit is one of Sharjah's many hidden treasures. Home to over 350 species of local and migratory birds, in addition to the insanely named fulvous whistling duck, it features a neat little observation section, a long golf-cart journey around the wilds of the wetlands (with hides for the passing twitcher) and a lovely little gift shop. Well worth a couple of weekend hours with the kids if you can manage to be brave boys and girls and leave Dubai for the Wild North...
